Samurai vs Knight who has the edge?
I saw that World's Deadliest Warriors, I thought they tend to mismatch fighters.
So in a poll
Japanese Samurai (circa 1600) in armor armed with Katana
vs
German Knight (circa 1450) in full plate armed with hand and a half sword
your thoughts
No racist stuff please, I used German, because Im kinda lazy and didnt want to type Holy Roman Empire. I chose the German states because of the armor style and school of swordsmanship.
I think you guys horribly underestimate those european medieval warriors , probably due all that hollywood bs tales . Knights were noblemans who spent all their lives form childhood to old age in war games and actual wars . The same like their asian counterparts . Weapons tactics were little different ( weight of weapons ) but with proper training , they were the same deadly sob`s .
And consider this : when japan opened to the west , there are many documented cases of duels between samurai and dutch and others swords men ,and guess what many samurai LOST .!!!
